We have identified the cause of this issue. While we are working on resolving this issue, if you navigate to Settings > Mail Merge Templates and download any template, then all subsequent instant merges will work correctly.

Investigating
Our team is investigating an issue where attempts to Instant Merge from Mail Merge, Export to File, and Receipts doesn't complete but opens a log in screen. While we are working on resolving this issue, if you navigate to Settings > Mail Merge Templates and download any template, then all subsequent instant merges will work correctly.
